Healing is Sacred. Wholeness is our birthright. Purpose is alive in each of us.

Hi! I’m Keri Kenney (she/her) — a trauma-informed yoga teacher, writer, Reiki practitioner, college educator, and heart-centered guide working at the intersection of grief, Spirit, nature, and collective care. My work exists to hold space for healing—not just as a concept, but as a lived, embodied practice.

Whether I’m leading a yoga practice, holding a pet loss grief circle, teaching about trauma resilience, guiding restorative justice circles, or writing on the power of presence and love, my aim is always the same:

To help people return to themselves.

To offer care that honors the whole person.

To create space for connection, clarity, and transformation.

A little bit about my journey ...

This work began with my own healing.

In 2013, I lost both of my parents—one to homicide, one to suicide by cop. That heartbreak became my teacher. It cracked me open, sent me inward, and ultimately called me forward.

From that pain came purpose.

From that purpose, a path.

From that path, a mission: to make healing more possible, more accessible, and more heart-led—for all of us.

I believe trauma is not just personal—it’s systemic, spiritual, ancestral, and collective. And I believe healing must meet us on all of those levels. That’s why my approach is integrative and intersectional, weaving together science, social justice, spirituality, and the sacred wisdom of yoga.

I am a lifelong student of the heart. I work with individuals, communities, and institutions—offering trauma-informed spaces rooted in truth, tenderness, and transformation.

What Guides Me:

Love as a leadership practice.

Grief as a portal to presence.

Nature as teacher.

The body as a site of knowing.

Spirit as compass.

Story as medicine.

Community as healing ground.

My Credentials:

I’ve been practicing and teaching yoga for over a decade, with advanced certifications in trauma-informed yoga, meditation, and positive psychology. I’m a Reiki and crystal Reiki practitioner, a wellness educator, and hold a B.S. in Dietetics/Nutrition from CMU. I’ve completed over 3,000 hours of training and teaching in somatic, spiritual, and mindfulness-based healing.

I serve as an adjunct professor at Delta College in the Life Long Wellness program, teaching Introduction to Meditation and Science of Nutrition and Movement. I also offer weekly community practices at The Hive in Midland, MI—a space that centers accessibility, authenticity, and collective well-being.

In addition to in-person offerings, I share reflections, resources, and heart-centered stories through my Substack newsletter, With Great Purpose. I am committed to living my practice and being generous in my offerings, creating accessible pathways toward healing and belonging.

I work with diverse populations and people from all walks of life—and what I’ve found is this:

We are all deserving of care. We are all worthy of love. And each of us holds the key to our shared humanity and collective hope for something better, brighter, and more just for all.

More than any certification, it’s my lived experience that shapes how I show up:

Tender, truth-telling, and unwavering in my belief that we all deserve to heal.

Why I’m Here...

To be human is to hurt—but also to hope.

To live is to lose—but also to love.

I’m here to remind us that healing is not a linear process. It’s a sacred remembering of who we are and who we’re becoming. It requires both softness and strength, courage and compassion, boundaries and belonging.

The practices that saved my life—meditation, movement, nature, breath, connection—are the ones I now offer to others. Through yoga, grief work, writing, teaching, and community-building, I create brave spaces for people to feel, to process, to rest, to reclaim.

I believe we can—and must—learn to live in more honest, embodied, and heart-aligned ways.

For ourselves.

For each other.

For a future rooted in care.
